CHAPTER 7: SHADOWS AND TALL TREES
IN COMPLETE SENTENCES, from the perspective of your character, answer the following questions (pretend you are writing in your journal as the character you have been assigned…step into his shoes).
EVERYBODY ANSWER
- What is the game the boys play after spearing the pig? Who spears the pig? Describe the mood of the boys afterwards.
- Jack suggests, “You could get someone to dress up as a pig and then he could act, you know, pretend to knock me over and all that.” Robert said that they need a real pig because it has to be killed. What does Jack suggest as a substitute? What does this foreshadow?
- What evidence did the boys find to prove that there is a beast? (Why are they so gullible?)
